Jessica graduated with a BS in Recreation Management from Appalachian State in 2008. She is currently the Aquatic Director at North Mecklenburg Recreation Center and has a strong history in aquatics and competitive swimming. Prior to accepting the Aquatic Director position she worked with Swim MAC as their Swim School Director and Lead Coach for 7 years – coaching several of the 12 & under competitive groups throughout those 7 years and working with hundreds of 6 & under learning to swim. She has coached several Summer & neighborhood swim teams over the years, she is excited to be starting her ninth summer with the Piranahs. Prior to moving to the Lake Norman area, Jessica put her degree to work at Walt Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort in Orlando, and then with a summer camp and retreat program on the North Carolina Coast as their Summer & Retreat Program Coordinator. She loves being outside near and around the water – swimming, sailing, or sunbathing – as long as the sun is shining you can typically find her enjoying the outdoors.
Corey graduated with degrees in Economics and Business Management from Wheaton College (MA) in 2015. He is currently a Financial Planner at North Main Financial Group, LLC on Main Street in Cornelius. Corey has had a passion for swimming since he started competing at age 7 in his summer league in Glastonbury, CT - where he was born and raised. He followed the sport to the USA club level through high school, and ultimately received the opportunity to swim four years collegiately for Wheaton. With a passion for giving back to the sport that has shaped who he is today, Corey is excited to be entering his 13th season as a coach, and ninth summer with the Piranhas. In the offseason Corey has coached locally with Swim MAC, and is the Davidson Day varsity coach. When he is not in the office or at the pool, he loves to play golf, ski, watch his Boston Red Sox, and explore the different regions North Carolina has to offer with his dog Wiley.
Kris Cichelli, Director of Activities, has been with The Peninsula Club Management Team since 2021. She worked at American Renaissance Charter School in Statesville teaching 2nd and 3rd grades. Prior to that, she was the Director of Activities at The Point Lake and Golf Club in Mooresville for five years. Kris graduated from Appalachian State with a BS in Psychology. She describes her specialty as creating a fun and safe environment for kids to grow and explore through events and activities. She has two wonderful children, her son, Caleb, who is thirteen, and her daughter Emma, who is eleven. She and her children love to play soccer and ride their bikes! Her goal is to take Family and Children's Activities to a new level at The Peninsula Club.
